Bill Johnson - Heal the Sick, Cast out Devils, Cleanse Lepers

Heal the sick, raise the dead, cleanse those who have leprosy, drive out demons. Freely you have received, freely give
Matthew 10:8

I love Bill Johnson's no nonsense approach to teaching about the Kingdom. Sometimes we have discussions about healing and whether it is God's will for us. We can get quite heated in our defense of our own mindsets. But it surely comes down to one basic fact. If we want to know God's will we look at Jesus. Jesus is God... Jesus said 'heal the sick.. what is God's will regarding the sick? It's not hard to work out! The fact that we don't always see people healed doesn't mean that it's not His will, any more than the fact that we don't see everyone accept Christ means it is not God's will for them to come to know Him.

We can be sure of one thing though, if we don't pray for the sick then they won't be healed. If we don't share the good news then people won't come to know Him. Let's do what Jesus commanded us to do and leave the rest to Him.

Absolutely. Great testimonies from 'healing on the streets' yesterday in association with London's Burning the prayer prep for prayer teams at 2012 olympics

Matthew 10 is not the marching orders of the church. It was only to the disciples at that time before the resurrection. The disciples went only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel in Mt.10. This is a very dangerous way of 'interpreting' and applying the Bible.

That's interesting Jim. How do you fit the post resurrection healings with that viewpoint. The church gained a reputation for healing and many people were brought to the church and healed.
