El Shaddai - Amy Grant
We are singing this song today in our evening service and I was curious about all those Hebrew lyrics. A little websearch has come with a few things:
El Shaddai is most often translated as "God Almighty".
El-Elyon na Adonai is a common phrase meaning "God most high, O Lord".
Erkamka na Adonai is taken from Psalm 18:1 and is normally translated
"I love you, O Lord" (Hebrew ארחמך).
Hope you enjoy the video and have wonderful Sunday.

One of the things about being retired, we are getting to visit several different churches and enjoy different styles of music and praise bands.
Tonight we are going to church with our daughter and family and then out to Home Town Buffet for dinner ~`
Tomorrow for Father's Day we are going to visit a church that we have been to once before, and they have an unusual "Jazz" praise band.
You have a wonderful Sunday too Mike. And keep up the good work on this most inspiring blog.

Be blessed Mike,

I am glad that God stays the same all the time and we can count of that, especially in troubled times.
Have a great Sunday, Mike.
