Skywatch #10

Bedfont Lakes Sunset, originally uploaded by duopastorale.

Be strong and very courageous. Be careful to obey all the law my servant Moses gave you; do not turn from it to the right or to the left, that you may be successful wherever you go.
Joshua 1:7

There is a catch phrase "Just Do It!". I have to confess that I am very bad at just doing something I know is right when all the circumstances say no and my knees are knocking. A few days ago I was praying for an increase in anointing for something God has told me to do. At the end of my prayer I felt that God had heard me although I felt rather the same. So I asked the Lord, "When will the anointing come Lord?", and the answer I heard was , "The anointing will come when you step out and do it". This was perhaps not the answer I was looking for but on reflection I have come to realise that this is in fact a much simpler way of going about things. God has given us all gifts and talents and callings. All we have to do is use them for His glory. As we do, then God will anoint us afresh and we can leave the results to Him.

Mike-your photos display the wonder and power of God. He can be trusted--and it is only him we are to fear.

"Oh, that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always, so that it might go well with them and their children forever!" Deut 5:29

Great words to 'reflect' on with the image.

I've heard it said, God doesn't call the equipped. He equips the called.

Oh Mike, how you and my husband think alike....that's why I call you Pastor Mike.
His sermon Sunday, was on Praying Church....and he used that motto ---about prayer....JUST DO IT!!!

Blessing on you and I wish I could email you a "English" cookie.
