Skywatch #3

I thank my God every time I remember you
Phil.1:3

Last Sunday was one of those perfect days. It started with a great service at church and then I cooked lunch for my parents and two Stevens. Actually a Steven and a Stephen. One aged 7 and one aged...well er...I'll get in trouble if I give that one away! After a lazy lunch and cuppa we went for a walk. The sky was clear and the air crisp. We saw a myriad of plane trails filling the blue sky. By the time we finished our walk the sky put on another display for us. I am very blessed with friends and family and I thank God every time I remember them. Sometimes it's hard being single and living alone but He has provided so wonderfully for me in every way. Thank you Lord.

One of my goals (not resolutions because I dont do that) for 2008 is to pray, more and often, and I believe your blog will help/remind me to accomplish that.

Pity you closed shop on your photoblog.

Have a blessed 2008.

Sounds like a wonderful day. Mike, I feel like we are a part of the same family. Suppose we are in the family of God. Blessings, Angie

It looks like the sun is covered with an upside-down umbrella.
Nice shot.
You have the right attitude towards being single. ...

I wonder how old the other Stephen is?!
A "cuppa"- that's what we're missing here in the states! We need more time chatting with friends, talking heart to heart over a cup of tea. It's good for the soul, isn't it?!

Dear Mike.

You describe your day and your family with such beauty. Blessings sines through.

Some days I am longing to live alone, life is always so busy around me, but of course I know I could never live without my family.

Another remarkable photo! The shape next to the sun is very interesting...almost like half a second one shadowing it or something, or maybe it is growing wings...don't know how to describe it, but it sure is interesting looking.

After looking for a minute or two, it occurred to me that the rays at the bottom look like a road leading up over the trees to the sun. Pretty neat stuff!

You're never alone with the Lord by your side, brother. And with brothers and sisters across the earth too.

Skywatch days are still some of my favorites ;-)

Peace!

I just showed the picture to Jennifer...she says it looks like the sun is reflecting off the moon. I'm thinking she may be right after looking at it some more...is that right? Regardless, beautiful pic!

This was lovley Mike.
God reveals himself in these lovley simple moments. In those around us who we love, in our giving, in our wonderment at his creation.
And in the sharing of your faith through your words and pictures he reveals himself to.
Have a wonderful weekend:0)

That is so true. We lived 3 or 4 hours away from our families for several years. We did have each other, and our girls, but it was surely hard being on one end of the phone line, and hearing the laughter of parents and siblings and not being part of it. I am thankful to be back in the same town again.
Mike am so Happy for you
