New Things

Chaenomeles japonica, originally uploaded by duopastorale.

Stop dwelling on past events
and brooding over days gone by.
I am about to do something new;
this moment it will unfold.
Can you not perceive it?
Even through the wilderness I shall make a way,
and paths in the barren desert.....
for I shall provide water in the wilderness
and rivers in the barren desert.....
Isaiah 43:18-21

Even through the wilderness and desert, God makes a way. Through times of difficulty, heartache, dryness and nothingness, God is making a way for us. Change can be difficult. Things that have been dear to us for many years can suddenly be taken away and we feel lost. We feel that nobody understands. Things will never be the same. We keep looking back to those glory days when things were just perfect. God understands, and more than that, He is with us in it, making a new things, different things, better things. God is making a way.

I love it when God does something new in my life...or gives me a new insight from a scripture I've read over and over.

And your picture...is something new...having seen flowers like that for months and months.

BTW I'm the one on the left!!!!

So important we live each day as He gives them to us. I'm grateful to Him that He has taught me to do that.

Singing...
God will make a way
when it seems there is no way
He looks at things we cannot see
He will make a way for me
We are on the same page, Mike- so to speak.

Yep! He's always there. Sometimes, we need a new reminder tho. Sometimes that reminder comes thru people like you. Blessings!

BTW, somedays when I check on here you haven't made a new post and then later I find it and comment like I did today below. Guess it's because of the time difference. . .

The picture is beautiful and your words of wisdom are always uplifting.
Isaiah has been a companion of late. He reveals the coming of the Savior with such eloquence. He touches the heart and soul. The gift of Holy Scripture! Cathy
