Skywatch #5

The moon marks off the seasons, and the sun knows when to go down.
Psalm 104:19

Last Sunday was another perfect Sunday. After morning service and a great roast chicken lunch (yes, I can cook!) my friend and I went for a walk along the River Thames at Richmond. We walked only about 2 miles and stopped in a tea shop for tea and flapjack. When we came to return along the riverside path we discovered that the river had risen and covered it completely, so we had to make a detour. I then began to worry about my car which was parked very close to the river. Fortunately all was well and it only meant getting wet feet to get to the car door. A little later and it might have been more serious. All in all it added to the day and made it memorable. The sky also gave us something to remember!

Today is Skywatch Friday. If you would like to see more sky photos then visit Strolling Through Georgia and follow the links. Have a great weekend everyone!

So nice to memorialize a wonderful day -- and the photo is amazing! It can be so challenging to capture beautiful scenes, but you do it so well.

Also, it is so interesting to hear about rising rivers! I can't imagine a rising river here. Have a great day!

On the Ohio River here, it is such a lovely walk. It is grand to watch the barges as they move on their journey to wherever they are going or from wherever they have been. Life is Good!!! Cathy

Just beautiful, as usual. Sometimes your description of your experiences sound like something out of a movie. You live so near things I've heard about all my life but have never seen in person. You are so blessed.
