Mary, did you know?
This is a wonderful reflection on the mystery of Mary. I am moved to tears every time I watch it. We are told in Scripture that 'Mary treasured up all these things and pondered them in her heart', Luke 2:19. In Zeferelli's Jesus of Nazareth, there is a scene where Mary's mother exclaims in wonderment when she realises that her daughter will be going to Bethlehem and will have the child there. 'The prophecy!', she cries. But Mary is silent. Both Mary and Joseph must have known that Jesus was going to be an extraordinary man and it must have been an overwhelming time for them. Angels visited them, in person and in dreams, prophecies were spoken over them and shepherds and kings visited.
Mary, did you know? It's a wonderful question and I believe that Mary shows us what wisdom it is to be slow to speak when we have a revelation from God. He does need any help from us, but just quiet obedience.
(Please note that there are graphic crucifixion scenes from The Passion in this video.)

Saw The DaVinci Code on cable TV 2 night back.He tried to rip off the foundation of the Christian faith. Lies and presumptions straight from hell.
Thanks for posting this. I hope many people will watch it.
God bless you and have a great reminder of the Sunday.
It was this quiet, but totally unfeigned and strong faith she had

I have to admit I did not watch your video -- thanks for the "warning." I did go see the movie "The Passion" on the big screen and also bought the video but have never taken the outer wrap off it. I don't need to as it is ingrained in my mind from seeing the movie on the widescreen and from my Christian beliefs and upbringing. I have it in case someday I do want to view it again privately.
Christmas is just the beginning. . . Good Friday was not the end. . . Easter is the finale'. As Christians we can celebrate!
I once asked the children’s church group if Jesus stayed in the manger.
One little 1st grade girl responded, “No, Jesus grew into a great big God!”
Merry Christmas to you & Happy Birthday, Jesus.
THe part where Jesus falls as a little boy and Mary comes to console him in a way she is stopped from doing at his crucifiction brings me to tears everytime.
God Bless
Suzy
I have much to learn.

How we need to ponder the things of the Lord in our hearts too.
Lovely song too!
