He led me to the gate, the one that faces east, and I saw the glory of the God of Israel coming from the east. His voice sounded like the roar of mighty waters, and the earth shone with His glory.
Ezekiel 43:1
In this season of Advent we are celebrating the coming of God into our world. His first coming was humble, almost unnoticed, ignored by most. However, the Bible talks about Christ's second coming as being a global event. No-one will be able to ignore it. He will break into our world in all His glory and power:
and every eye will see Him,
including those who pierced Him.
And all the families of the earth
will mourn over Him.
This is certain. Amen.
"I am the Alpha and the Omega," says the Lord God,
What a vision this is! I wonder what you imagine when you read these verses? Do you long for this day or fear it? God comes. He has already come to us in Jesus. He comes to us now in the Holy Spirit, but one day He will come in all His Glory! And on that day there will be no ignoring it, saying we don't believe. The only thing we will be able to do is fall flat on our faces and worship.

Romans 13:11 Do this, knowing the time, that it is already the hour for you to awaken from sleep; for now salvation is nearer to us than when we believed.
James 5:8 You too be patient; strengthen your hearts, for the coming of the Lord is near.
1 Peter 1:13 Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
1 John 2:18 Children, it is the last hour; and just as you heard that antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have appeared; from this we know that it is the last hour.
btw, stunning photo!
Yes Jesus is coming soon, what joy that will be.
This reminds me of a post I've been meaning to write about a reading of Revelation and subsequent experience I had a few years back. I'll have to get that written this weekend.
Peace!
re:yoghurt post. I think it was a thing of the 70's. I know my mom made tons of yoghurt. I don't remember eating it, but I remember her making it.
I found your blog through Becky and Susan's blogs. Your blog is wonderful and I truly felt a touch from God reading through some of your posts.
