I Sing for Joy

I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
How great are your works, O LORD
Psalm 92:4-5

Today I am celebrating the 100th post of this blog, and want to take this opportunity to thank all of you who have taken the time to stop, read and comment on my humble little posts over the last few months. Your encouragement has been very important, and I will continue to post as long as God allows me and as he gives me inspiration. Thank you today to Simon Wright who has provided the stunning photo above. Simon is a leader in my church and is blessed with a great gift of photography; I hope to be using many more of his gems.

Sometime ago, I was talking about this blog with a friend. She had been looking at it, and after asking the question "what exactly is a blog?" (I still don't really know!), she said "Do you think someone could come to Christ through a blog?". The question stopped me in my tracks. I had not really thought about it, but that question has stayed with me. Wouldn't it be wonderful if someone discovered Jesus through one of us who blog for him? I am someone who lacks courage in talking to people about Jesus, but I hope in this way I can be a witness for him. One of the verses that encouraged me to start posting is from Exodus 4:2, Then the LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?. Moses was asked to use something that he used everyday, something ordinary, something utilitarian. As he did so, an amazing miracle took place! May God use all of us as we offer him what we have in our hands, and may someone, somewhere, find Jesus through us.

Amazing, my dear brother. I always tell myself, "It's not ability that matters, but availability". I'm available for Him 24-hours around the clock!

God has been speaking to me and through me along the same lines- "use what you have in your hands."

I can testify, I have been BLESSED by your blog. I enjoy the photos and the little nuggets. =)

Congratulations on your 100th post!
Of course somebody could come to Jesus through your blog! Your blog post could be the 'final' seed that somebody gets before he accepts the Lord! HIS Word never comes back void!
You have a ministry here!
Keep on blogging away!!

Mike - I consider myself a follower of Christ, but I continually need to be pointed in his direction -- through his word and through the words and actions of others. I think that I continue to "come to Christ" through the blogs of others. And certainly those who are not yet followers of Christ will be drawn to him as well as, aided by the HS, truth is spoken.I am drawn to the real, genuine truth of our existence that yearns for intimacy with Christ. I often find that in blogs. The one thing I truly desire to find in blogs is hope. Peace.

Only when you get to heaven, Mike will you know the extent of how many people have not only been touched by your blog, but will be in the Kingdom because of it. I know more than one gal, that has been helped and touched by your words!

Congrats on "100"

CONGRATUALTIONS on your 100th post. That sure is a lovely picture. I would love to be sitting there admiring that beautiful scenery.
Mike, I've had people from all over the world come visit my blog, and recently a couple emails from people who are hurting and looking for God, looking to find out how to "connect" with Him. It's amazing this blogosphere opportunity we have!

I'm convinced we just need to keep speaking out about Him, speaking up for Him, and speaking TO Him daily!!

Congrats. on your 100th post. I have been blessed by many things that I see on your blog. That is exactly why I started to blog.To reach the lost for Jesus Chirst, my Saviour and LOrd and to be an encouragement to others. I, too, may never know to what extent that I have succeeded but I will be faithful in what I feel God is wanting to use me to do my best to do. May God bless you and help you to be bold in your message about Him. connie from Texas

This is so true, Mike. I am constantly aware that God uses us as He sees fit, and when and where. "I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase." 1 Cor. 3:6

Congratulations on your 100th post!!!! I join you today in praying for that one who will be touched by your blog today in such a way as to believe!!!

CONGRATUALTIONS on your 100th post! Your blog is wonderful!

God bless you!
My heartiest congratulations. And, Mike, I believe that someone can come to Jesus through the blog or any way He might choose to use us. We are his instruments. And as the Spirit moves so moves our God. You may never know who you have touched and then again someone may share their new found love of Jesus. Steady is the course...and this is coming from someone who wants her prayers answered yesterday. Continued Good Day to you!!

Oh I had to come back, because I forgot to tell you how this picture reminded me of one of the first children's classic I read as a child.. Heidi!!! Loved the book and story, and love this picture.

Congrats, Mike. Your blog is a constant source of encouragement to me. Keep up the good, er, God work!

Congratulations on post number 100!
May there be many more :0)
There is so much conflict and distraction within much of the blogosphere and the internet, your blog is nothing but an example of God's love and hope.
It is a truly refreshing space.

Scanning back through to see what I've missed while away :) Happy 100th! Lovely photo!

Jesus... "Neither is there salvation in any other; for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved." (Acts 4:12) Praise God for this wonderful avenue called the internet to spread His Word and His message of salvation to all who will believe!

Thanks for the return visit. I am sure someone can come to Christ through a blog (weblog) and of coure we never know who we are witnessing to. I don't know of a particular instance but I do have several instances were folk have started to E-mail me and have been grateful for the encourgaement that has moved them on in their walk or helped them back to faith.
I want my blog to touch people although I am not setting out to preach, just share my life in a natural way and particularly through MY STORY which basically is a testimony to God's faithfullness and keeping power which I will be getting too soon.
I thought the same, wow here is a blogger from London. Only the second I have come across.
