Ezekiel 47

The man brought me back to the entrance of the temple, and I saw water coming out from under the threshold of the temple toward the east (for the temple faced east). The water was coming down from under the south side of the temple, south of the altar. He then brought me out through the north gate and led me around the outside to the outer gate facing east, and the water was flowing from the south side.

As the man went eastward with a measuring line in his hand, he measured off a thousand cubits and then led me through water that was ankle-deep. He measured off another thousand cubits and led me through water that was knee-deep. He measured off another thousand and led me through water that was up to the waist. He measured off another thousand, but now it was a river that I could not cross, because the water had risen and was deep enough to swim in—a river that no one could cross. He asked me, "Son of man, do you see this?"
Ezekiel 47:1-6

Are you praying that you might have more faith? Do you want to let go of the bottom and let the stream of God's Spirit take you? Are you tired of all the theory of the Christian life, and want to see the power of God flowing in reality in your life?

Last night I listened to a wonderful talk by Mike Pilivachi, encouraging us to have faith and take our feet from the bottom of the river. One story he used to illustrate stepping out in faith, was of someone standing high on a diving board, above a swimming pool that was empty of water. The person said to God, "Lord, if you fill the pool I will dive", to which God answered, "Dive first, and then I will fill the pool." That is faith. It is spelt R.I.S.K.

Wow. Beautiful picture. Beautiful message.

Too often we wait for God to show us the way when He already has and all we have to do is believe and take a step!

That is a wonderful post. I always had faith God could do miracles but I now have more faith in God's miracles.

While my daughter went through her brain surgery (December 27, 2006)and they were only able to remove 80% of her brain tumor. We really started praying for God's healing power. Then the oncologist told her she needed to take radiation but there was no way they could get all the tumor through the radiation, their goal was to just shrink it as much as possible we began to pray even harder for God's healing power. When we went back for her MRI in September and then went back for the results, they said they could not find anything. The tumor was gone. Now news like that will really give you more and more faith that God can heal if it is His will. I am so thankful it was His will to heal our daughter. She is now 25 years old. She is still a little fatigue from all the radiation but she is building her strength up more and more every day. We put this situation in God's hands and knew we had to accept whatever he handed us.

Thanks for pointing the way to these truths. I continued reading in Ez 47 as well as Rev 22 and was encouraged that this river of life brings healing to the nations. It is scary and it is risky, but he is the source of good, life-giving healing.

Many times I 've done that , dived first and God HAS filled the pool. He always does.

The disciples asked God the same thing, "Increase our faith!" , and Jesus' reply to them was: "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you."

God has given unto all us the measure of faith [Romans 12: 3b], but the question we need to ask ourselves is whether we are using it.

How do we use the faith ? By SAYING [speaking] faith. Speak out the solution that God's Word has for your circumstance, or condition and Scripture says, it will obey you. =)

Sidharth
Just the size of a mustard seed- that's all we have to even think about starting with. Just that. And then He will do so much MORE.

We need to believe in order to see. We need to step out into the dark before we are granted the light. We need to give, of ourselves, first before we are able to receive.
