Then the LORD said to him, "What is that in your hand?"
Exodus 4:2
I love the way that God uses whatever we offer him. In fact, he encourages us to look carefully at our lives, our gifts, our possessions, and to use them for his glory. There is no other raw material than that which we hold in this life. God has given it to us so we may put it to work. The temptation is to look at others gifts and spiritualise them, often feeling we don't quite match up.
Yesterday, a friend of mine provided lunch for five of us. She welcomed us into her home and fed us wonderfully and provided great company. I believe that this was a real outworking of the Christian life. A practical, rock solid expression of the love of Christ. Thanks Mary.
