Prayer Of Elijah

originally uploaded by josef.stuefer.

The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective. Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years.
James 5:16-17

Powerful and effective. What an encouragement to continue praying. Sometimes the answer is a long time coming and we need to remind ourselves that God is listening, that he is acting on our behalf. He may be working in ways that we cannot see, or he may be waiting for the right time to act. But he is always with us, always listening, always teaching and changing us through our own prayers and desires.

GOD always answers prayers. His answer can be

(1) A "Yes"
(2) A "No"- When He doesn't want you to have what you have asked for.
(3) Slow - When He wants you to wait and slow down
(4) Grow - When He wants you to grow before He answers that prayer

I think the ways of God are too deep for our mind and we have a wonderful chance:to let him act and pray. That means to trust in his ways and pray.
If anything or everything become too hard for us, we have all the time a solution. To trust and to pray. To BELIEVE.
Bless you! Sma

I agree with sidharth and also I think that He already knows all our prayers and just waiting for us to be ready to ask. That's why one should not hesitate, but just "ask and it will be given to you"...

Emphasis to be added on Romans 8 :26, we have SomeOne to pray for us when we don't know WHAT to pray for.

He always prays in the will of God, and He agonizes in prayer for us.
