Be filled with the Spirit...fan into flame the gift of God, which is in you through the laying on of my hands....Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.Eph. 5:18 2 Tim. 1:6 2 Cor. 3:17
Whatever our theology on the Holy Spirit, we cannot deny that on the day of Pentecost the followers of Jesus Christ (about 120, all gathered to pray), had a powerful experience; an experience which made them break down the locked doors and parade along the streets like drunks (Acts 2:15) when before, they were hiding away for fear of being arrested. The Holy Spirit had given them joy and freedom which overcame all their fear and reservations. I could do with some of that.

It's like going from one dimension to three dimension: God becomes a bigger reality, His Word becomes alive and solid, works of the Holy Spirit will follow, and dynamite power to spread the Gospel will be ours: "Ye shall receive power after that the Holy Spirit comes upon you..." [Acts 1:8]
