Today was very wet day in London, but for all who were in the magnificent cathedral church of St Paul's there were no dampened spirits. It was the day that our friend Stewart from Holy Trinity in Hounslow was ordained. It was a wonderful service with fanfaring trumpets, a quite wonderful choir and a majestic organ that led the 2000 strong congregation in uplifting praise. 45 ordinands were commissioned and the Bishop of London led the service, dropping jokes all the way. All were invited to take communion and the stewards organised this perfectly.
Stewart has led us at Holy Trinity with St Paul's and St Mary's with such wisdom and gentleness and I for one am delighted that he is now one of our priests.
A wonderful day to remember.
